How a Bristol estate agency quadrupled valuation requests from Google

An independent Bristol estate agency was losing valuation requests to national online agents. We rebuilt its area pages, fixed technical problems and created content sellers search for. Organic valuation requests rose from 11 to 44 a month, and it won 55 instructions in nine months.

The challenge

The agency had a strong local reputation, but its website ranked for almost nothing beyond its own name. National online agents dominated searches such as "estate agents in Clifton" and "how much is my house worth Bristol".

The site had one page for all its areas, slow property pages and dozens of broken links from old listings.

What we did

  1. A page for each area the agency covers, with real local detail: recent sales, schools, transport and the team who cover it.
  2. Technical fixes: speed, broken links, redirects and structured data for the business and each office.
  3. Seller guides answering the questions people search before choosing an agent.
  4. Google Business Profile optimisation and a steady flow of reviews.

"We stopped paying portals for every lead. Sellers now find us on Google, read our area guides and ask for a valuation before they have spoken to anyone else."
