Email marketing agency: email automation that turns enquiries into clients

Most enquiries do not buy the first week. Most past clients would come back if you reminded them. Lead Gems is a UK email marketing agency that builds the automated emails that do both, so no lead you have paid for goes to waste.

  • Lead nurture
  • Newsletters
  • Reactivation

What does an email marketing agency do?

An email marketing agency plans, writes, builds and sends your marketing emails, from automated sequences triggered by an enquiry or booking to regular newsletters. It also manages your list, deliverability and reporting. Lead Gems is a UK email marketing agency for service businesses, focused on email automation that turns enquiries into clients and clients into repeat work.

"I was spending hours every day replying to Instagram messages and still losing bookings because people could not book when it suited them. Now they book online any time of day, I have an email list I can market to directly, and the Meta ads bring in more new clients in a week than I used to get in a month organically."

The problem

Why most service businesses waste their email list

Most service businesses pay to win enquiries, then let the ones who do not buy straight away disappear.

The difference

How Lead Gems compares to a typical email marketing company

The difference is what the emails are for: bookings and revenue, not open rates.

Our approach

How our email marketing agency approaches email

We treat email as the part of your revenue engine that turns paid-for enquiries into clients.

  • 01

    Automation before newsletters

The emails triggered by an enquiry, booking or missed call earn the most, so we build those first.

  • 02

    Written like a person

Short, useful emails from a named person at your business, not a glossy brochure.

  • 03

Connected to your CRM and ads

Every lead lands in the right sequence automatically, wherever it came from.

  • 04

    Measured in bookings

We track which emails produce calls, consultations and sales, not just opens.

Email automation: the sequences every service business needs

Email automation sends the right email at the right moment, triggered by what someone did, without anyone pressing send. These are the sequences we build most often, also known as drip campaigns or lead nurturing sequences.

Newsletters and B2B email marketing

A good newsletter keeps you in front of past clients and contacts so they think of you first. We write and send regular emails with useful updates, short advice and one clear next step, segmented so each group only gets what is relevant.

For B2B companies, we build longer nurture sequences around the buying committee, matched to the lead scoring your sales team uses.

Email deliverability and UK GDPR, handled

Emails only work if they reach the inbox and you are allowed to send them. We set up domain authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), which Google and Yahoo now require of bulk senders, keep your list clean, and monitor spam rates.

UK rules (PECR and UK GDPR) allow you to email people who opted in, and existing clients and enquirers about similar services under the "soft opt-in", provided every email offers an easy way to unsubscribe. Your newsletters and sequences only go to people you are allowed to contact.

Questions

Email Marketing questions, answered.

Is email marketing still effective?

Yes, especially for service businesses. Email reaches people who already know you, costs little per send, and automated follow-up turns enquiries into clients that would otherwise be lost.

What is lead nurturing?

Lead nurturing is staying in useful contact with prospects who are not ready to buy yet, usually through a short series of automated emails, so you are the business they choose when they are ready.

What is a drip campaign?

A drip campaign is a series of emails sent automatically over days or weeks, triggered by something a person did, such as making an enquiry. It is another name for an automated email sequence.

How often should a service business email its list?

Automated sequences send as often as the situation needs. For newsletters, once or twice a month is right for most service businesses: often enough to be remembered, not so often that people unsubscribe.

Can I email my existing clients under UK GDPR?

Usually, yes. Under the "soft opt-in" in PECR, you can email existing clients and people who enquired about your services with marketing about similar services, as long as you gave them a chance to opt out and include an unsubscribe link in every email.

Which email platform should I use?

The one that connects best with your CRM and booking system. We work with Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, HubSpot, MailerLite and most CRMs’ built-in email, and we will recommend one if you do not have a platform yet.

Do you write the emails?

Yes. We write every email in your voice, usually from a named person at your business, and you approve them before anything is sent.

Can you buy an email list for us?

Not for your newsletters. Bought lists damage deliverability and rarely comply with UK law, so we grow your own list through your website, ads and events. For B2B companies, targeted cold email to business contacts is a separate service, run apart from your main email with verified data and an opt-out in every message.

How do you measure email marketing?

By the calls, bookings and sales it produces. Opens and clicks are tracked too, but your dashboard shows revenue from email alongside your other channels.
